SitePerfector vs Keyword Insights
Keyword Insights turns a keyword list into clusters, and it does that as well as anyone. It never asks for your website.
Keyword Insights has the best-known clustering engine in this category, and at 20,000 keywords in one run it works at a scale SitePerfector does not attempt. Because it never takes a website address, nothing it returns knows what you have already published. SitePerfector crawls your pages, lays them over the demand map, and tells you which topic to do next.

SitePerfector: what to build next, in order, with the sites you would be beating named.
Who each one is for
Keyword Insights
Keyword clustering tool
Keyword Insights is built for agencies and in-house SEOs with a keyword export to organise. Their own Trustpilot description calls the product "the smartest and most cost-effective way to group/cluster keywords and establish search intent at scale", and the customers named on their homepage are mostly agencies. It fits when somebody hands you twenty thousand keywords.
SitePerfector
Topic-first SEO
SitePerfector is built for site owners and small teams who do not have a keyword list. It answers which pages are worth building, in what order, and where your existing pages already sit. That comes from live results and a crawl of your site.
How the two approaches differ
Keyword tools hand you data and leave the decision to you. Topic-first SEO hands you a decision, with the reason and the competitors named. The method itself is explained in Topic-first SEO: what it is and why it works. This page only shows the contrast.
Keyword Insights
You start with
You start with a keyword list you bring or discover, grouped into clusters and labelled by intent. Discovery pulls live from Google Autocomplete, Reddit and People Also Ask, so the input is closer to real search behaviour than a volume export.
You publish
You publish a page per cluster, from a content brief or an article the AI Writer Agent drafts. Which cluster goes first is your call.
What you get
- ✕You get clusters and intent labels for the keywords you brought.
- ✕You get no crawl of your site, so no coverage view, no cannibalization report and no rank tracking.
- ✕You get a plan that reaches as far as the keyword list you started with.
- ✕You get every action metered in credits, including the clustering itself.
SitePerfector
You start with
You start with your whole market read from live results and clustered into themes, topics and pages, with your own site crawled and laid over it. Up to 1,500 keyword ideas are vetted per map and around a hundred earn a place.
You publish
You publish the page SitePerfector puts next in the order, with the sites you would be beating named and a blueprint built from what ranks now and the gap the top results leave.
What you get
- ✓You get your site crawled and laid over demand: covered, off the map, or ranking without you knowing.
- ✓You get a call on every topic: own it, build up to it, or leave it, with the reason.
- ✓You get the sites you would be beating named on every recommendation.
- ✓You get the market setting the edge of the map, rather than the list you happened to export.

Yes Their Mentions feature surfaces the Reddit, Quora and YouTube threads that AI answers pull from. |
Partly SitePerfector has a platforms and communities map on Pro, not on Basic. |

No Their features page lists no site crawl, no audit, no coverage view and no cannibalization report, checked 3 September 2026. |
Yes SitePerfector crawls your site and marks each topic covered, off the map, or ranking without you knowing, with no Search Console needed. |
|
Tell you which topic to do first, and why |
No Clusters come back as groups, and putting them in order is your job. |
Yes SitePerfector returns the next pages in order, with the reasoning on screen for every item. |
|
Name the sites you would be beating on a topic |
Partly The content brief compares competitor pages for a keyword you have already chosen. |
Yes SitePerfector reads the live results per topic across the whole map and names the sites holding those positions. |
|
Track brand mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity |
No Mentions finds threads worth joining rather than tracking citations, and they sell no citation dashboard. |
No SitePerfector does not build it, because AI answers cite what ranks. |
|
Backlink, PPC and keyword database |
No Discovery pulls from Autocomplete, Reddit and People Also Ask rather than from a licensed database. |
No SitePerfector has none of the three, and Ahrefs or Semrush is where I would get them. |

Three differences you can check
1.Keyword Insights never takes a website address. SitePerfector crawls your site and lays it over the map.
Nothing in Keyword Insights knows which pages you already have. Their features page lists Keyword Discovery, Keyword Clustering, Search Intent, Topical Clusters, Content Brief, Writer Assistant and AI Writer Agent. There is no site crawl, no audit, no coverage view, no cannibalization report and no rank tracking. Every cluster it returns is a cluster in the abstract, so which ones you have covered, which ones you are already ranking for, and which are missing is work you do afterwards by hand. SitePerfector lays every crawled page over the map and returns three labelled groups: covered, off the map, and ranking without you knowing.
Open their features page and look for one feature that asks for your website address. Then open our topic and coverage map to see what a crawl adds.

2.Keyword Insights returns clusters. SitePerfector returns a call on each topic.
Keyword Insights groups your keywords; it does not put the groups in order. The clustering is well liked and the public record is clean: Trustpilot shows 4.3 out of 5 from nine reviews over five years, all positive, checked on 3 September 2026. What comes back is a set of groups with intent labels. Which one is worth your next four hours, whether the results page for it is a fight an article can win, and who holds those positions are all left to you. SitePerfector reads roughly 40,000 ranked positions per market map and returns a call per topic: own it, build up to it, or leave it. Every call names the sites you would have to beat.
Run the keyword you would start with through their free SERP Analyzer, then through our free What Ranks Here, which names the sites on page one and the kind of page Google ranks there.

3.Keyword Insights works on the list you give it. SitePerfector reads the whole market first.
A Keyword Insights plan reaches as far as the list you fed it. Keyword Discovery pulls live from Google Autocomplete, Reddit and People Also Ask, which is a better starting point than a plain volume export, and the clustering then groups whatever went in. A subject you never thought to search for does not appear in the clusters, because nothing in the process went looking for it. SitePerfector starts from the market: it reads the live results, vets up to 1,500 keyword ideas per map, and lets around a hundred earn a place, clustered on real result overlap. You do not need to know the shape of your market before you start.
Their pricing page prices clustering at one credit per keyword, so a run is sized by the list you upload. Then read step one of How it works, where the map is built before you have a list.

When to choose Keyword Insights, and when to choose SitePerfector
Choose Keyword Insights if
- You have a keyword export of ten or twenty thousand rows and you need it clustered quickly.
- Labelling search intent across thousands of keywords is a job you do most weeks.
- You work agency-side, and the clustered list is itself the deliverable for a client.
- You want the Reddit, Quora and YouTube threads that AI answers pull from, surfaced for you.
Choose SitePerfector if
- You do not have a keyword list, and you would rather the market decided what belongs in the plan.
- You want your existing pages laid over demand: covered, off the map, or ranking without you knowing.
- You want to be told which topic goes first, with the sites you would be beating named.
- You want rank tracking, site health and the plan in one place instead of three.
Questions
Is SitePerfector a Keyword Insights alternative?
For deciding what to publish and seeing where your site already stands, yes. For clustering twenty thousand keywords in one run, no. Their clustering is better than ours at that scale.
Which is the better keyword clustering tool?
For a large list that needs grouping and intent labels, Keyword Insights. SitePerfector clusters as part of building the market map, on real result overlap, and returns a topic tree with a call per topic rather than an exportable set of groups. The two do different jobs, so pick by the job you have.
Does either one track AI visibility?
No. Their Mentions feature finds Reddit, Quora and YouTube threads that AI answers pull from, which is off-page opportunity finding rather than citation tracking. SitePerfector does not track AI visibility either. Both products take the same public position: AI answers cite what ranks, so the work is the same work.
Can I use both?
Yes. Cluster a big export in Keyword Insights, then use SitePerfector to see which of those clusters your site already covers and which one is worth the next page. Nothing in either product blocks the other.

Fourteen days of the full product on Basic: your market mapped, your site laid over it, the pages worth writing in order, and a blueprint for each. Then $39 a month, cancel anytime. It is an intro price on Basic, so nothing is held back.
