SitePerfector vs Frase

Frase runs everything after the topic is chosen. SitePerfector chooses the topic and shows you the reasoning.

Frase builds the best research-backed brief in the category, and it now runs the whole loop around that brief: research, writing, publishing, hosting and decay monitoring. All of it starts from a query you type in. SitePerfector produces that query, by mapping your market into topics, laying your existing pages over the demand, and reading the live results to work out which topics you can win.

SitePerfector: the pages worth writing next, in order, with the reason for each

The pages worth writing next for one market, in order, before a brief is written.

Who each one is for

Frase

Content optimizer

Content marketers, SEO teams, agencies and enterprises, in Frase's own words on its homepage. Seats are sold per person, the higher plans add a content calendar and client-ready reports, and Oracle and GitLab are on the logo wall. If a strategist or a client brief hands you the topic, Frase runs everything after that.

SitePerfector

Topic-first SEO

Site owners and small teams where one person is the whole team. You know your subject and you have a site, and the open question is which pages to build and in what order. SitePerfector answers that first, then gives you a blueprint for each page.

How the two approaches differ

Keyword tools hand you data and leave the decision to you. Topic-first SEO hands you a decision, with the reason and the competitors named. The method itself is explained in Topic-first SEO: what it is and why it works. This page only shows the contrast.

Frase

You start with

A query you type in. The research, the brief, the outline and the scores all follow from it, and Topic Clusters group the keywords you brought with you.

You publish

A page researched, written, scored for SEO and GEO, published to your CMS or hosted on Frase, then watched for decay.

What you get

  • You bring the topic. Frase does the research, the writing and the publishing around it.
  • Topic Clusters group the keywords you supply. They do not say which of them your site can win.
  • Your published pages get audited for decay and cannibalization, not laid over market demand.
  • The plans are built around seats, a calendar and client reports, so a team gets more out of them than one person.

SitePerfector

You start with

Your market, read from live search results and grouped into themes, topics and pages. Up to 1,500 keyword ideas get vetted and around a hundred earn a place.

You publish

The next page in the order, with a blueprint built from what the top results cover and the gap they leave. You write it, edit an AI draft, or hand the brief to a writer.

What you get

  • You get a topic tree: themes, topics and pages, in the order to build them.
  • Every topic carries a call and the names of the sites you would be competing against.
  • Your own pages sit on the map: covered, off the map, or already ranking without you knowing.
  • Each page you approve comes with a blueprint built from the live results.

Three differences you can check

1.In Frase you type the topic in. SitePerfector works the topic out from the market.

Frase starts with a query. The research, the brief, the outline and the scores all follow from the keyword you gave it, and Topic Clusters group the keywords you brought with you. For a team with a calendar to fill, that is the right shape. It does not say which topics your business should own, or which of them you can win against the sites ranking today. SitePerfector reads roughly 40,000 ranked positions per market map and returns a call on each topic: own it, build up to it, or leave it, with the competing sites named next to the call.

Open Frase and start a new document. The first thing it asks for is your query. Then open a topic in SitePerfector and read the sites it says you would be competing against.

2.Frase published that the scoring model was broken. We did not build a score at all.

In April 2026 Frase published a post called "Content Optimization Is Dead. Here's What Replaced It". In it they write that the core scoring model "worked the same way every tool in the category worked: analyze top-ranking pages, derive keyword targets, give you a score to match. That approach had real limitations." Few companies say that in public about their own flagship feature. Their answer was to keep the score and add a GEO score beside it. Ours was to leave the score out. A blueprint lists what the top results cover and the gap they leave, so there is no density target to write towards.

Read their post: Content Optimization Is Dead. Then run the free What Ranks Here on one of your keywords and read what the top results are.

3.Frase's audit reads the pages you have. SitePerfector reads the pages you do not have yet.

Site Audit and Content Guard watch what you published: decay, cannibalization, the page worth refreshing. That is the right work once a page exists. Neither has a row for a topic you never wrote about, so the plan they produce improves what is already there. SitePerfector crawls your site and lays every page over the market map: covered, off the map, or already ranking without you knowing. The pages you do not have yet come out of the live results for your market, not out of a keyword you supplied.

In Frase, open Site Audit and look at what it lists: pages on your own domain. In SitePerfector, open the coverage view and read the row for a topic your site has never covered.

When to choose Frase, and when to choose SitePerfector

Choose Frase if

  • You already have the topic and want the best research-backed brief in the category to build from.
  • You want research, writing, optimization, publishing and hosting from one vendor.
  • You need reporting on whether ChatGPT, Google AI and Perplexity cite you.
  • You work in a team, with seats, a content calendar and client-ready reports.

Choose SitePerfector if

  • You have a site and a subject, and the open question is which pages to build and in what order.
  • You want each recommendation to name the sites you would be competing against, so you can check it.
  • You are the whole team, and the hours you spend have to go on the right page.
  • You would rather have a call you can audit than a score to write towards.

Questions

Is SitePerfector a Frase alternative?

For deciding what to write, yes. For the brief and the loop around it, Frase does more: it researches, writes, publishes, hosts and monitors. Some people use both, SitePerfector to choose the page and Frase to produce it.

Does SitePerfector give me a content brief?

Each page on the plan gets a blueprint built from what the top results cover and the gap they leave. You can write from it, edit an AI draft, or export a PDF brief for a writer. Frase's brief is the deeper document of the two.

Does SitePerfector track AI visibility the way Frase does?

No, and we do not sell it as a separate product. AI answers cite the pages that rank, so the work that gets you cited is the work that gets you ranked. Frase includes that tracking in every plan if you need the reporting.

Can I use both?

Yes. Decide the page in SitePerfector, then research and write it in Frase. If you already pay for Frase and use the briefs, I would keep them and use SitePerfector for the decision.

What does the $7 get me?

Fourteen days of the full Basic plan: your market mapped, your site laid over it, the pages worth writing in order, and a blueprint for each. Then $39 a month, cancel anytime. Nothing is held back in the fourteen days.
