SitePerfector vs Dashword

Dashword builds a brief for the keyphrase you give it. SitePerfector works out which keyphrases are worth a brief.

Dashword builds a clean brief from the pages ranking today, scores the draft as it is written, and hands both to an AI writing agent through an API on every plan. All of it starts from a keyphrase you supply. SitePerfector produces that keyphrase, by mapping your market into topics, laying your existing pages over the demand, and reading the live results to say which topics you can win.

SitePerfector: the pages worth writing next, in order, with the reason for each

What to create, improve and prioritize next for one market, before a brief is written.

Who each one is for

Dashword

Content optimizer

Individuals and small teams with a piece to write, and the people pointing an AI writing agent at a keyphrase. Their homepage says it: Dashword researches the pages ranking for your keyphrase, hands your agent the brief, and scores every draft until it is ready. Where the keyphrase is already decided, that loop is tight.

SitePerfector

Topic-first SEO

Site owners and small teams where one person is the whole team. You know your subject and you have a site, and the open question is which pages to build and in what order. SitePerfector answers that first, then gives you a blueprint for each page.

How the two approaches differ

Keyword tools hand you data and leave the decision to you. Topic-first SEO hands you a decision, with the reason and the competitors named. The method itself is explained in Topic-first SEO: what it is and why it works. This page only shows the contrast.

Dashword

You start with

A keyphrase you supply, and a content report to spend on it. The brief, the score and the agent's instructions all follow from it.

You publish

A page written to the brief and scored against the pages ranking today, by you or by your agent. Then the next keyphrase on your list.

What you get

  • You bring the keyphrase. Every report starts from one you typed in.
  • The report describes the pages ranking today. Whether your site can get there is still your call.
  • Your published pages are monitored for refreshes, not laid over market demand.
  • You get help with the piece, once you already know which piece.

SitePerfector

You start with

Your market, read from live search results and grouped into themes, topics and pages. Up to 1,500 keyword ideas get vetted and around a hundred earn a place.

You publish

The next page in the order, with a blueprint built from what the top results cover and the gap they leave. You write it, edit an AI draft, or hand the brief to a writer.

What you get

  • You get a topic tree: themes, topics and pages, in the order to build them.
  • Every topic carries a call and the names of the sites you would be competing against.
  • Your own pages sit on the map: covered, off the map, or already ranking without you knowing.
  • Each page you approve comes with a blueprint built from the live results.

Three differences you can check

1.Dashword sells content reports, so you bring the keyphrases. SitePerfector produces the keyphrases.

A content report is the unit Dashword sells, and each one starts with a keyphrase you supply. The brief, the score and the instructions your agent follows all come out of that first choice. Nothing in the product works out which keyphrases belong on the list for your business, or which sites hold the results for them. SitePerfector reads the live results for your market, vets up to 1,500 keyword ideas, and around a hundred earn a place in a topic tree. Each topic carries a call: own it, build up to it, or leave it, with the competing sites named.

Open Dashword's pricing page and read what a plan counts: content reports. Then open the topic tree in SitePerfector, where that list of topics is what the map returns.

2.Dashword is metered by report. SitePerfector maps the market once and keeps a running plan.

Everything around a Dashword report points at the moment of writing: the Google Docs add-on, the agent API, the score that moves as the draft improves. Where the pipeline is already decided, that shape fits. SitePerfector is built around the question one step up, which is what your site should be doing over the coming months and in what order. It maps the market once, lays your existing pages over it, and keeps a list of what to create, improve and prioritize next.

Open a Dashword report and read what it covers: one keyphrase. Then open the plan view in SitePerfector and read the pages it lists for the next three months, in order.

3.Neither tool tracks AI visibility, and the reason is the same on both sides.

Several tools in this category now sell an AI-visibility product. Dashword does not, and neither do we. Dashword's bet is to be the scoring layer an AI writing agent calls, with an API and an MCP server on every plan. Ours is that AI answers cite the pages that rank, so the work that earns a citation is the work that earns the ranking. If reporting on AI citations is the job you need done, neither of these two tools does it.

Open dashword.com and read the feature list for prompt tracking or AI citations. Then run the free What Ranks Here on one keyword and read which pages hold the top results.

When to choose Dashword, and when to choose SitePerfector

Choose Dashword if

  • You already know the keyphrase and want a clean brief built from the pages ranking for it.
  • You write with an AI agent and want it calling a scoring API or an MCP server.
  • Your writing happens in Google Docs and you want the score to update there.
  • You want content monitoring and a rank tracker in the same tool as the brief.

Choose SitePerfector if

  • You have a site and a subject, and the open question is which pages to build and in what order.
  • You want each recommendation to name the sites you would be competing against, so you can check it.
  • You want your existing pages laid over your market before you write another one.
  • Choosing the work takes you longer than producing it.

Questions

Is SitePerfector a Dashword alternative?

For deciding what to write, yes. For the brief itself and for scoring a draft in Google Docs, no. Dashword does that job and we do not, so some people run both: SitePerfector to pick the page, Dashword to brief and score it.

Does SitePerfector have a content score?

No. Each page on the plan gets a blueprint built from what the top results cover and the gap they leave. We left the score out on purpose.

Can SitePerfector feed my AI writing agent through an API?

No. You can edit an AI draft inside the app or export a PDF brief for a writer, but there is no agent API and no MCP server. If that is how your content gets made, Dashword built for it and we did not.

Can I use both?

Yes. Decide the page in SitePerfector, then brief and score it in Dashword. If your writing already happens there, I would keep it and use SitePerfector for the decision.

What does the $7 get me?

Fourteen days of the full Basic plan: your market mapped, your site laid over it, the pages worth writing in order, and a blueprint for each. Then $39 a month, cancel anytime. Nothing is held back in the fourteen days.
